Women's Christmas

I thought I'd use, with your permission, your website to give greater publicity to Women's Christmas which is a day when men do all the chores and all the women have a Girl's Day Out.
I would like that it had greater prominence than just a tradition in Ireland. There are 80 million descendants of the Irish around the World and many more on St Patrick's Day when everyone claims Irish roots so if we rally together we might get the day to become compulsory World wide
Women's Christmas (or as it is also known, Little Christmas or as it is also unfortunately known, Little Women's Christmas and preferably should be Women's Little Christmas) is the 6th January, the day when the Christian World celebrates Epiphany (when the three wise men visited the infant Christ)and was actually Christmas Day before Pope Gregory changed the calendar some 400 plus years ago.
According to Sheila Flitton, an Irish actress and playwright "it goes back to the days when large families were the norm. Men never lifted a finger in the house to help, and were never expected to. But each year, after the Christmas holiday, tired women finally got a break ? for one day, at least. On January 6th, men would take over the housework, offering women a chance to go out to relax with each other." If you want to read more visit Ireland Fun Facts

So, Women of the World unite...this coming January 6th have an epiphany and cast off your pinny, don your glad rags and lets all meet round the pub
